SISCAL uses state-of-the-art algorithms to derive
water quality parameters from the signals measured
at the top of the atmosphere. In order to ensure product
compatibility, the channels of the different ocean colour
instruments are mapped onto a common SeaWiFS-like channel
set prior to application of the SISCAL standard evaluation
algorithms.
